It is not a wrecker policy masquerading as a repossession policy. Our carrier names the lien holder as an additional insured. Prime has our fidelity bond coverage for $1,000,000 as well.

Workman’s Compensation insurance is probably the most over looked coverage in the repossession industry. Dtec is one of the few companies that has this coverage. If a lender’s recovery firm does not carry Workmen’s Comp. and an agent was injured in the course of working a repossession assignment, there is a clear path for monetary recovery right to the lenders door. A Harris County jury has handed down a $3,000,000 judgement under similar circumstances.

Dtec uses Dynamic Wreckers that are specifically designed for the repossession industry. We also employ rollback and wheel lift wreckers. Our fleet is structured to offer you a broad coverage area and rapid response time with no damage to your collateral.

At Dtec your collateral is stored behind electric gates and razor wire topped heavy-duty fencing. Our facility is equipped with high intensity commercial grade lighting and the lot itself is videotaped 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Personal property is inventoried and stored separately from the vehicle inside premises that are protected by a remotely monitored alarm and video system.

Dtec can be reached after normal business hours for the purpose of closing, holding or reactivating an assignment. We are available to you to change the status on a repossession assignment when YOU need us to be available, whether it is 8 PM on a weeknight or 10 AM on a Saturday.
